Elmo from Love/Hate reveals he used to be the school bully

He used to pick on St Patrick’s Athletic striker Anthony Flood.

IT’S A CASE OF ART imitating life for actor Laurence Kinlan, who plays gangster Elmo on RTÉ’s Love/Hate.

He tweeted a report from an old school teacher earlier today in which he is painted as a playground bully.

The teacher describes how he and another student got into an argument over a soccer game that ended with Laurence kicking and tripping over the other student.

The student in question is Anthony Flood, who’s now a striker with Dublin’s St Patrick’s Athletic football club.

I asked him had Mr Caul had a word with him about his bad behaviour, he shouted “No…he didn’t f***in’ say anythin’.”

Anthony and Laurence appear to have moved on from the time of their school yard struggles though:
